 An Apology Minimize
First of all, for those of you who have sent messages requesting support for the site and not received a response, I sincerely apologize. Here is the explanation.

I used to receive said emails. Quite a few. I would fix them as quickly as time and task would allow. At some point, the emails quietly stopped appearing in my inbox. Of course, I didn't think much of it. No news is good news, as they say. After a while, I started to think that it was too quiet. I had gone a considerable time without ANY requests from this site. I checked in occassionally and it seemed to be going just fine. I saw nothing that would indicate trouble.

Even LONGER after that, I started missing other emails. I, of course, had no idea I was missing them until the occassional phone call would come in. I would hunt for the email(s) in question and chalk the few instances up to being merely a fluke. As the weeks rolled by, the emails decreased and the call volume increased. I obviously knew something was up by this point.

Now, I know what you are all thinking. The spam filter got me. I have to admit that it was the first place I checked in each isolated incident. Try as I might, I couldn't find any of the missing emails.

Here it is months if not a year later in some instances, and I believe I have uncovered the mystery. I'll spare you the gory technical details, but I will say, YES! You were right. It was indeed the spam filter. Not MY spam filter, mind you. As a matter of fact, it wasn't a spam filter of anything I had control over. It was the hosting company's spam filter. They had installed a new one which is rather, shall we say, restrictive. From what I can see, it has filtered all the support emails sent to the greenonreunion box almost since the day it was installed. As for the others, they were inconsistant enough that it took time to convince itself that they were spam and therefore slowly started weeding them out.

I do NOT have the problem fixed yet as I have just now figured it out. I did manage to get a few sent to greenionreunion.com to sneak by. I will continue to work on the situation and again, I apologize for not responding!

Class of 1997 - Sunday, September 09, 2007
Please join in the celebration of our 10 year reunion. Friday night, September, 28th we can cheer on the Knights to victory just like old times at the Homecoming football game (tickets must be purchased at the gate). Saturday, September 29, 2007 we will all meet at the Dock in Enon for a get together where we can catch up on where we have been and what we have been doing over the past ten years. Things will be set up and ready for us at the Dock at 8pm and there will be a tent so that we have more room to mingle. If you are interested in having dinner please feel free to come early and stop at the front entrance and they will seat you inside, where you can order from a delicious menu of items. There will be appetizers in the tent and a cash bar inside. Hope to see you all there!!!
Newer Forum Issues - Tuesday, February 14, 2006
It's come to my attention that the forum errors out for some people consistantly. It took a while but I was finally able to duplicate it. I found that if I clicked on the GHS Forum link then login, I get in fine. There are times when I come to the site and try to view the forum and get an error right away.

I can duplicate this but not consistantly at all. Can someone verify if this is a problem?

Email curt (at) greenon reunion (dot) com. Thanks.

New Preferences - Monday, January 23, 2006
**Update** I will be removing the login and registration link from the old forum somewhere around or after March 1st.

You will now notice there WAS (it was removed for retooling, thanks for being patient) a module on the right that is asking for a few bits of information. This information will make it easier to classify everyone into their graduating class AND allow people to contact you.

Basically, we want to collect enough data for this site to be useful to everyone. The first and most important bit of data we want to know about you is the year you graduated.

The next is either a nickname, alias or your maiden name you had in high school, so that your friends of past know who you are.

There are also two more options, the first is determine if you want your email address displayed to other registered users on this site. The other option determines if you actually want other registered users to view your nickname, alias or maiden name.

While the options may seem redundant, think of it like this. You might not want EVERY registered user on this site to view those bits of data, however you may want to store it on the site and make it available to those individuals that will be registered as reunion administrators or organizers. In other words, those responsible for hunting you down and sending out invites, etc.

With that being said, please update your information (when the module returns)! :D

New Forum
IMPORTANT: If this is your first time here or you only have an account on the old forum, please use the Register link above and to the right. The old forum is going to be phased out.

I'm putting the new forum up for the general population. Due to time constraints and now the holiday season, the user accounts have not yet been migrated from the old forum yet. I'm not sure when that will happen. The way I see it, however, is that there is no good reason why I can't open the new forum for business in the meantime. People are already registering for the site (instead of just the old forum, yes, I know that it's confusing).

In my defense, the old forum was never meant to be a permanent solution. It was just a quick fix that got out of hand. Once it became evident that it needed to be replaced, it the site had grown too fast.

Bad Email Addresses - Tuesday, October 25, 2005
I've been seeing a lot of bounced emails generated by the forum lately. Every single one appears to be a result of people signing up with invalid email addresses.

Please make sure you have a valid email address when you sign up and if you do not currently have a valid one, please change it. There are a variety of reasons for this but the most common would be:

1. Password retrieval in the event you forget.
2. Old friends may want to find you somehow.
3. Account may be deleted (see forum post in the new Site Announcements section)

If you don't want to use your 'good' email, then create a new email address from a free provider like hotmail, yahoo or gmail ( I can invite you to gmail if needed ) and use that specifically for sites like this.

Thanks.
